Peabody - Peabody - Francisca Cannon, 94 of Peabody, passed peacefully on July 7, 2025. Born in Miami, AZ, she was the daughter of the late Dario and Guadalupe (Cabrera) Cota. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert W. Cannon.

Fran was raised in Obregon, Sonora, Mexico. She moved to the United States, with her sister Mary, to live with relatives in Albuquerque, NM. This is where she met her future husband, Robert. They raised their five daughters in Beverly, where Fran worked at St. John's Rectory as a cook and caretaker. Fran was a skilled seamstress and shared her talents working in the fabric department at Zayre.

Fran dedicated her life caring for others and especially enjoyed spending time with all her grandchildren. She had a passion for playing Bingo with her friends, shopping, reading and dining out. She had a fun sense of humor and loved to laugh. Fran loved all animals and enjoyed feeding the many birds that came to her back patio.

Devoted mother of her five daughters, Maria Rendeiro and her husband John of Peabody, Francisca Matola of Rumford, RI, Patricia Morrissey and her husband Daniel of Rockport, Roberta Martiniello and her husband John of Medford and Joan Cannon of Canonsburg, PA; Loving grandmother and great-grandmother of her eleven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her dear sister, Mary Turnley of Hoover, AL.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church, 111 New Balch Street, Beverly, on Friday, July 11th at 10:30 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, on Thursday, July 10th, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Burial will be at North Beverly Cemetery.
