Lynn - Florence Ann (Farrell) Collins, 82, died on Thursday, June 8, after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of George W. Collins for 46 years.

Florence grew up in Lynn and Middleton, the daughter of the late Mary C. (Staples) and Charles C. Farrell. Florence was a graduate of Lynn English High School, and she spent time in Middleton where she enjoyed riding and being around horses.

Florence had several jobs before working for many years at the switchboard of Lynn Hospital, a job she loved. Following her hospital career, she turned her attention to gardening and her favorite activity, home shopping. Florence generously gifted many of her friends and family with her purchases and her Juniors cheesecake and coffee cakes will be missed at many holiday gatherings.

In addition to her husband, Florence is survived her daughter, Terri Lee Morganti of New Hampshire; her son Albert Champigne of Revere; her brother Joseph Farrell and his children Kate, Tami and Brian of Wisconsin; her brother and sister in law Richard and Kate Farrell of Danvers and their children Julie DeFelice of New Hampshire and Michael Farrell of Middleton; her brother in law and sister in law John and Kathleen Collins; her sisters in law Patricia Flaherty, Catherine Collins, Gloria Collins, and her brother in law, the Rev. James R. Collins. Florence was blessed to have many good friends.

Florence was predeceased by her sister Joan Travis, her brother Robert Farrell, and her sister in law, Cheryl Farrell.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, June 17 with visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington St., Lynn, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's of the Sacred Heart, 8 South Common St. Lynn. Burial will follow at St. Josephs Cemetery in Lynn.
