MARBLEHEAD - Elizabeth Jeane (Hardwick) Mace, 79, formerly a longtime resident of Marblehead, passed away at Hathorne Hill Healthcare in Danvers on October 26, 2019. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond F. Mace Jr. with whom she shared 30 years of marriage. Born in Marblehead she was the daughter of the late Thomas F. and Eva M. (Henderson) Hardwick. She was a graduate of Marblehead High, class of 1957. She worked at Sylvania in Salem, Mass., and as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Shaughnessy-Kaplan Rehabilitation Hospital for many years.
Elizabeth was the mother of James Cunha and his wife, Nancy, Donald Cunha Jr. and his wife Cheryl, and Joanne Johansen, and her husband, Arnold; the sister of Robert, David and Peter Hardwick, Patricia Cowhig, Anne Humphry and the late Donald Hardwick Sr. and Jane Mace; the grandfather of Hannah Indrisano, Sam Cunha, Aaron Mace, Kerry Mace, John Gemma Jr., and Tiffany Cunha; the great-grandfather of five great-grandchildren; and the aunt of many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Hathorne Hill and Care Dimensions Hospice in Danvers for the care they provided to Elizabeth during this time.
