Danvers - Elizabeth J. "Betty" D'Eon, age 87, of Danvers, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 3, 2019, surrounded by her three daughters.
Born on January 9, 1932, in South Alton, Nova Scotia, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Leverett and Lucy Walton. Betty was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Adelbert J. D'Eon. She was the loving and devoted mother of Marlene A. (Joseph) Olszewski, of Alfred, Maine, Susan E. (John) Harrington of Sagamore Beach, Mass., and Nancy M. (Steven) Burrill of Danvers, Mass. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, Jennifer (Mark) Olszewski Flavin, Dara Olszewski, Joshua (Nicole) Harrington, John Harrington, Jason (Meghan) Harrington, Ryan (Marissa) Burrill, Evan Burrill and Justin Burrill. She joins her beloved grandson Joey Olszewski in heaven. She also enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren, Tyler, Drew and Chase Harrington, Quintin Flavin, Hazel Harrington and Ellie Burrill.
She is also survived by her sister Geraldine Hickey of Canning, Nova Scotia, Canada; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Ardith Burton of British Columbia, Canada.
Betty worked as a nurse's aide at Salem Hospital for many years and became an LPN in 1974, continuing to work at Salem Hospital in that capacity until her retirement.

A service celebrating Betty's life will be held on Friday, November 8, 2019, at 11 a.m. in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Betty's memory to The Sharing Foundation, P.O.
