Elaine M. (Gagnon) Quinlan Obituary

Peabody - Elaine M. (Gagnon) Quinlan, wife of the late Thomas W. Quinlan died Friday, Sept. 30. Born in Salem, Elaine was the daughter of the late Ernest and Lillian (Marquis) Gagnon. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's Academy and began her career at Auger Insurance Agency of Salem in 1956. Following her marriage to Tom, they moved to Peabody where they raised their family.

Mrs. Quinlan resumed her insurance career in Lynn with the Farquhar & Black Insurance Agency for the next 29 years. Elaine had a talent in home decorating and over the years she was frequently asked for help during decorating projects.

Elaine was a loving wife, devoted mother, and grandmother. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother (memere) to her two beloved grandchildren.

Elaine is survived by her daughter Carolyn Nadworny and her husband Richard of Boxford; her son Michael Quinlan of Middleton; her grandchildren Patrick and Matthew Nadworny; sister-in-law Kathleen Quinlan Nash and her husband Paul; niece Julie Nash Miller; nephew Paul Nash Jr.; and life-long friend Rosemary Donovan. She was predeceased by her sister Jacqueline Gagnon.


Relative and friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Nadworny Funeral Home, 798 Western Ave., Lynn, Friday, at 9 a.m., followed by services at 10 a.m. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem.
