Eileen M. Cody Obituary

Danvers - Danvers - Eileen M. (Dudley) Cody, beloved wife of the late Paul T. Cody, died Friday, August 8, 2025 at home following a long illness.


Born and raised in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Mary B. (Collins) Dudley. She received her education in the Peabody school system and was a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1949. She continued her education at Burdett College in Boston.


Mrs. Cody had been employed for forty-five years as a receptionist at the North Shore Bank in Peabody until the time of her retirement.


A longtime resident of Danvers, she was a faithful and devoted member of St. Mary of the Annunciation Church in Danvers. Eileen was also an avid knitter.


She is survived by her granddaughter, Alexandra Nalven of Boston, her sister-in-law, Ann Doherty of Danvers, her brother-in-law, William Cody and his wife, Roberta of Delaware and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Colleen Cody and sister-in-law of the late John Doherty.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers, Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. A visiting hour will be held at the church prior to the Mass on Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
