Danvers - Eileen (Hudson) Amore, 92, beloved wife of the late Joseph M. Amore, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026, at the Brudnick Center in Peabody, surrounded by her family.

Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Nora (Cannon) Hudson.

Eileen was raised and educated in Lynn and was a proud graduate of Lynn English High School in 1951. Over the course of her working life, she held positions as an insurance secretary, dental secretary, medical secretary, and hostess, bringing warmth and dedication to every role.

Above all, Eileen cherished her family. She raised three children and was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother always present for the moments big and small.

Eileen played basketball in her youth and carried that love of sports into adulthood, enjoying tennis, cross-country skiing, golf, and biking. When she wasn't outdoors staying active, she enjoyed sewing and never turned down a good bowl of ice cream.

Eileen also had a passion for travel, and treasured the memories she made on trips to Nova Scotia, Greece, Florida, and Myrtle Beach.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Eileen was predeceased by her beloved husband of 53 years, Joseph M. Amore, her sisters, Geraldine Gowell, Barbara Nichols, and Mary Stoddart, and five half-siblings.

Eileen is survived by her daughter, Mary-Kayte Bergeron of Danvers, son, Joel Amore of Danvers, daughter, Jennifer DeLorenzo and her husband, Charles of Salem, her grandchildren, Melissa Pare and husband, Jon, Matthew Bergeron and wife, Carolyn, Megan Bergeron and fiancé, Robert Atherton, Christy Lewis and wife, Nikki, and Autumn DeLorenzo and fiancé, Morgan Henry, her great-grandchildren, Wren Foley, Evelyn, Thomas, and Teddy Bergeron, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral service for Eileen to be held at Holy Trinity Methodist Church, 16 Sylvan St., Danvers on Saturday, August 8th at 11 a.m. Visiting hours will be held at O'Donnell Cremations - Funerals - Celebrations, 167 Maple St., (RT 62) Danvers, on Friday, August 7th from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial to be held privately at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eileen's name to Hospice Care at Jeffrey and Susan Brudnick Center for Living, 240 Lynnfield Street, Peabody, MA 01960.
