Edward D. Ciesinski Obituary

Danvers - Edward D. Ciesinski, 90, of Danvers, died peacefully on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at the Masconomet Rehabilitation Center in Topsfield. He was the beloved husband of the late Joanne (Duffy) Ciesinski.

Born in Salem on June 2, 1935, Ed was the son of the late Frank and Elizabeth Ciesinski. He was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School, Class of 1954, where he was later inducted into the school's Athletic Hall of Fame for his achievements in both baseball and football.

Following high school, Ed continued his education at Brewster Academy and later at Ohio University, where he earned his bachelor's degree. He proudly served his country in the United States Army before beginning a long and distinguished career in telecommunications.

Ed spent his entire professional life with New England Telephone, ultimately retiring from AT&T, where he served as a respected telecommunications executive.

Deeply committed to his community, Ed was a founding member of the Danvers Football Boosters and was actively involved as a coach in Danvers Youth Football and Danvers Little League, giving countless hours to mentoring young athletes. He was also a member of the Danversport Yacht Club for more than 50 years and was an avid and passionate boater. He especially loved fishing around Misery Island, traveling, and time spent on the water.

Above all, Ed cherished his family. He took great pride in watching his sons and grandchildren compete in athletics through high school and college, rarely missing a game.
