Gloucester - Edward L. Bunker, 68, of Gloucester, MA loving husband of Theresa A. (MacDonald) Bunker passed away at Beth Israel Hospital, Boston MA on Monday, July 25, 2022.

Ed was born in Everett, MA on March 22, 1954, to the late E. Leslie and Charlotte Edna (Perry) Bunker. He graduated from Beverly High School and received his Associates Degree from North Shore Community College.

Ed worked for 32 years as a principal interviewer and employment counselor for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Ed had many hobbies. He belonged to the Cape Ann Sportsman's Club; Danvers Fish Game; Cape Ann Amateur Radio Association (C.A.A.R.A.); U. S. Power Squadron; U. S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and Northshore Model Railroad Club.

In addition to his wife Theresa, he is survived by his sister, Mary Peck and her husband Kenneth; nieces, Eileen Peck and her partner Kenneth Anderson, Kathleen Rooney and her husband Peter; a great-niece, Olivia Rooney; his brother-in-law, Augustus MacDonald and his wife, Juanita; nephew, Scott MacDonald; niece, Tammy Diaz and husband, Alani Diaz; nephew, Felix Potter; nephew, Julian Potter MacDonald and niece, Nicole Emo and two loving kitties, Ozzy and Tiger.

Ed was predeceased by his parents and his brother, William F. Bunker who passed away on June 21, 2022.

I would like to thank the doctors and staff at Beth Israel Farr 10 for their excellent care of both Ed and myself during his illness.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 9:30 a.m. in St. Ann's Church, Holy Family Parish, Gloucester. All attendees are required to wear face coverings during Mass. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester.

A Visitation will be held in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester on Friday, July 29, 2022, from 5 to 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.

Donations in his memory can be made to Cape Ann Animal Aid Association, 4 Paws Lane, Gloucester, MA 01930 or to a charity of your choice.
