ROWLEY, MA - Edmund "Ty" L. Friley, 70, of Rowley, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, February 13, 2018 in Newburyport. He was the devoted husband of Louise (Thomas) Friley. Ty was born March 30, 1947, in Columbus, Ohio, the son of the late Alvin and Bernice (Bruner) Friley. He was a machinist and published author of short stories and poems.

Ty had a deep spiritual connection to his faith and was an amazing person to know. He was very strong and faithful to his wife, family and those who were blessed to know him.

Ty is survived by his wife, Louise E. Friley, two sons, Lance Friley and Danny Friley, four daughters, Lynn Friley, Terry Williams, Janice Elliott and Nancy Harris, eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He will also be dearly remembered by the many friends he made during his life.

ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial service to celebrate Ty's life will be held Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 11 a.m. from The First Congregational Church of Rowley, 175 Main St, Rowley, MA 01969.
