Danvers - Danvers - Dr. Wayne Anthony Comeau, D.C., brought light and laughter into this world for 80 remarkable years. A beacon of hope and healing in the chiropractic community, Wayne passed away suddenly on June 4, 2025, in Beverly, MA. Born on August 15, 1944, in Mineral Wells, Texas, while his dad served in the Army, Wayne spent his childhood in Lynn, MA where he attended St Jean-Baptiste elementary school and Lynn Technical High School. Known as "Doc" throughout the Danvers community, his legacy is carried on by his beloved wife, Theresa, his devoted son, Parry, his adoring grandchildren, Connor and Katelyn, and his daughter-in-law, Kimberly.

Prior to Chiropractic college Wayne served in the Navy, which instilled in him a sense of discipline and commitment that would define his career. Dr. Comeau's journey to excellence began as a 1969 cum laude graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic. His passion for healing led him to serve the Danvers community in private practice for over 50 years. He was not just a chiropractor; he was a friend to all who walked through his doors. Known for his friendly demeanor, intelligent insights, and humorous anecdotes, Dr. Comeau infused every patient visit with warmth and genuine care.

His professional achievements were numerous, marked by his unwavering commitment to the advancement of his field. Dr. Comeau held prestigious roles, including serving as Chair of the Massachusetts Chiropractic Society, Chair of the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Chiropractors, and Secretary of the American Chiropractic Board of Occupational Health. His influence extended beyond his practice as he shaped the future of chiropractic care through his dedication to teaching. For more than 20 years, he taught the Activator Method, sharing his expertise with fellow practitioners both in the United States and internationally.

Those who knew Wayne would attest that he was not only intelligent but also profoundly friendly and funny. His quick wit and warm personality made him a beloved figure in both professional circles and his community. Whether through his involvement with, Kiwanis, Masons or the Touchdown Club, he embodied the spirit of civic duty and public service. Dr. Comeau held a deep appreciation for the history of Danvers and dedicated much of his time to preserving its heritage for future generations.

The loss of Dr. Wayne Anthony Comeau is deeply felt by his family, friends, colleagues, and the countless lives he touched. His legacy of compassion, laughter, and unwavering dedication to his profession will continue to inspire all who knew him. Dr. Comeau's memory will live on as a testament to a life well-lived, full of purpose, kindness, and enduring contributions to the world of chiropractic care and the community he so dearly loved.
