ipswich - Douglas G. Hulbert, 73, husband of Sharon L. (Hughes) Hulbert of Fowlers Lane, Ipswich, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 14, 2022.

Doug was born in Beverly on February 26, 1949, the only child of the late Arthur and Mildred 'Mim' (Hutter) Hulbert. He was a 1967 Graduate of Beverly trade school and a lifelong Ipswich resident. He started his career as a mechanic and then transitioned to owning a snap-on tool business, retiring in 2018.

Doug loved his family first, riding his Harley, street rods, camping and race cars. Since his retirement he has greatly enjoyed visiting with his lifelong friends and spending time with his wife and grown children.

In addition to his wife Sharon of fifty years he is survived by two daughters, Amy Hulbert of Ipswich and Jennifer (Hulbert) Fowler and her husband Chris of Lyman Maine.

Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation Monday 4 to 7 p.m. in the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, 6 High Street, Ipswich. His funeral service will be private. For directions and or to leave a condolence please visit www.whittier-porter.com
