Beverly - Douglas H Hayward, 73, of Beverly, passed on Sunday, February 1, 2026. Born on July 27, 1952, son of Howard and Corine (Poitras) Hayward. Husband to Christine (Pat) Burns.
Following school he enlisted into the US Navy, and served honorably. Post war, he served his community as a USPS Letter Carrier for 30+ years.
Douglas is survived by his wife, Pat Burns, his son, Jeffry Hayward, his daughter, Jennifer Burns, and his sisters, Gail Donlan, Sandra Waterman and Nancy Giakoumis, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Unfortunately, he was predeceased by his son, Donald Burns, and daughter, Tara Walters.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Franco American Club in Beverly, on Sunday, March 1 from 1 to 4 p.m.
