Beverly - Diana Jason, 83 years, of Beverly, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully the morning of April 24th at Haverhill Crossing surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of the late Jesse Jason Jr., Diana was born in Beverly, Massachusetts in July 1942. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Helena Standley of Beverly. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Paulette and George Misins of Beverly, sister-in-law Georgiana DiVincenzo of Beverly and sister-in-law Cheryl Standley of Hamilton, her daughter Theresa and her husband Peter Larcom of Newton NH, son Christopher Jason of Newton NH, her four grandchildren, and four nieces and a nephew. She was predeceased by her brother the late Frank (Dan) Standley, brother-in-law Anthony DiVincenzo and sister-in-law Marie Jason.

Diana spent the majority of her career as an editorial assistant for The Beverly Times, which later became The Salem Evening News where she worked until retirement. A long-standing member of the Friendly Garden Club of Beverly, Dinie had a flair for floral arrangements along with her green thumb on display in her home garden. Affectionately known as Dinie by friends and family, she was also an excellent cook with a talent for baking. She valued and supported the local rescue organizations within the community and was known for taking in a stray or two. Soft spoken and sociable, she was a wonderful person with a kind and caring nature.

Family and friends are invited to attend the graveside services on Thursday, June 11th at 11 am in North Beverly Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation to any animal rescue league would be a fitting tribute to Diana.
