LYNN — Dennis F. Jackson, 55, of Lynn, died suddenly at the home of his parents on Monday, May 31, 2010.

He was the son of Virginia (Greene) and George Jackson, Retired Lynn Police Sgt., of Lynn.

A lifelong resident of Lynn, he was a graduate of Lynn English High School, Class of 1972, where he was captain of the golf team and also played hockey, and a summa cum laude graduate of Suffolk University where he received his Juris Doctor Degree.

A former Assistant District Attorney in Essex County, he had also practiced law with the firm of Frawley and Jennings.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Bud Jackson of Merrimac; two nephews, George Jackson III of Alexandra, Va., and Terrance Jackson of Merrimac, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a close friend, Mike Brennan of Salem.

ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the Solimine Landergan and Richardson Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Route 129), Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
