Peoria - Dean Thomas Fay, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, in Peoria, Arizona, on Sunday, July 19, 2026. He was 90.

Born in Salem, Massachusetts, Dean was the youngest of seven children born to James and Mary (McPhee) Fay.

As a young man, Dean proudly served his country in the United States Navy aboard the USS Roanoke (CL-145). During his service, he traveled extensively throughout the Mediterranean, Atlantic, and Caribbean. Following his military service, he married Marie C. (Dupuis) Fay, and together they shared nearly 70 years of marriage.

Dean spent much of his career with Osram Sylvania's fluorescent lighting division. In 1995, after retirement, Dean and Marie relocated to Peoria, Arizona, a move that brought opportunities to travel, enjoy new experiences, make lasting friendships, and create treasured memories together.

He is survived by his wife, Marie; his daughter, Deanna Fay and her husband, Stephen Anaya, of Gloucester, Massachusetts; his son, Sean Fay and his wife, Suzanne Fay, of Peoria, Arizona; his grandchildren, Byron Wiswell, Jack Fay, and Willow Fay; and his cherished great-grandson, John "Jack" Byron Wiswell. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Dean was predeceased by his parents and by his siblings: Donald Fay, James Fay, Norma Brown, Shirley Boucher, Ann O'Connell, and Mary Lou Judd.
