Clementina DaCunha Obituary

Peabody - Peabody - Clementina "Tina" (Fernandes) DaCunha, 91, beloved wife of the late Arthur D. DaCunha, died peacefully on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family.


Born in Sao Martinho da Gandra, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Belmiro and Conceicao (DaCunha) Fernandes. She emigrated to the United States on March 11, 1968, settling in Peabody where she had since resided. She was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Peabody.


Surviving her are two daughters, Anna M. Freitas of Peabody and Connie M. Kershaw of Danvers, two sons, Armindo F. Cunha of Middleton and Arthur Cunha of Peabody, four grandchildren, John C. Freitas and his wife, Linda, Jacob Kershaw, Lucas Kershaw and Jesse Kershaw, a great granddaughter, Ashley Freitas, six sisters, Rosinda Amorin (late husband, Manuel) of Peabody, Alzira Fernandes (late husband, Manuel) of N. Andover, Armanda Ramos and husband, Manuel of Peabody, Maria da Silva and husband, Zique of FL, Sameira Freitas (late husband, Manuel) of FL and Lina Canvan and husband, Danny of Bradford, a brother, Charlie Fernandes and his wife, Pamela of SC, a sister-in-law, Dionia Fernandes of Peabody and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was also the sister of the late Jack Fernandes and Armindo Fernandes.

A visitation will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Friday morning, November 7, 2025 from 7 to 8:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 50 Walsh Ave., Peabody at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
