Newburyport - Newburyport - Christine L. Pinkham, 95, passed away on the morning of February 16, 2025.Christine lived a long and full life filled with love and laughter. Born on April 17, 1929 in Hartford, CT, she was the daughter of Raymond and Elizabeth (Orzechowski) Lewgowd.

Christine graduated from Hartford High School in 1947 and went on to attend and graduate from the Hartford Art School. Upon graduation she worked as a sewing instructor for the Singer Sewing Company.

On a blind date in 1951, she met her future husband Harold A. Pinkham, Jr. They were married the following year and shared 62 wonderful years together until his passing in 2014. Together they made a home in Beverly Massachusetts and shared 3 children, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Christine was an accomplished artist! She enjoyed painting, knitting, and sewing. She was especially proud of the beautiful satin wedding gown that she lovingly handmade and wore at her wedding. She was an active member of the Guild of Beverly Artists and served as President for several years. Christine worked at the Endicott College Book Store for 20 years where she enjoyed meeting the students and cultivating the many friendships she made throughout the years.

Christine had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved to laugh, make jokes, and enjoyed spending time with her family around the kitchen table. Above all else, she enjoyed spending time with her family and could always be counted on for love, support, and advice.

Christine is survived by her three children: daughter, Barbara Pinkham Kumin and her husband, Steven; daughter, Katherine Pinkham; and son, Harold C. Pinkham and his wife Michelle. Christine also leaves behind six grandchildren; Michael Kumin and his wife Jenn, Stefanie Kumin, Sarah Kumin and her husband, Travis Lundgren, Bethany Bell and her husband Jacob, Nathaniel Pinkham and Blue (Shannon) Pinkham and 7 great grandchildren, Lucus Kumin, William Kumin, Micah Kumin, Mason Kumin, Myles Kumin, Hannah Christine Bell and Michaela Bell.

Visiting hours will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly on Wednesday, February 26th from 10 to 11 a.m., immediately followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Star of the Sea, 253 Cabot Street, Beverly, at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sisters of Saint Francis of Philadelphia, 609 S Convent Road, Aston, PA.19014.
