Danvers, MA - Danvers, MA - Carrie Elizabeth (Davenport) Garabedian, 87, formerly of Danvers, died Friday, January 10, 2020, at Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Samuel Garabedian, with whom she shared 45 years of marriage.

She was born in Lewiston, Maine, the daughter of Guy and Margaret Davenport, graduated from Lewiston High School. Early in her career she worked at the University of New Hampshire. She later worked for many years at Union Hospital in Lynn in the accounting department.

Mrs. Garabedian loved going to the track and betting the horses and dogs. In later years, she did a lot of work for Meals on Wheels in Danvers where she received a Lifetime Achievement Award from AARP for her work.

She is survived by her daughter Denise Garabedian of Peabody, Mass., and her children, Corinne and her fiance, Victor, Joseph, and Anthony Landry: Diane (Vinson) Garabedian and her four sons, Mark Garabedian, Matthew Garabedian and his wife, Britney, Mason Garabedian, and Maxwell Garabedian; and great-grandchildren, Arianna and Maddox as well as several cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband and son, Mark Andrew Garabedian and a brother, Rodman Davenport.

Services are under the Direction of Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington St, Lynn, MA 01902. Visiting Hours will be on Wednesday, January 22 from 4 to 6 p.m. A service will take place at the funeral home at 5:30 p.m. Burial will be private at a later date.
