Anthony J. "Tony" Parisi Obituary

Gloucester and Beverly Farms - Anthony "Tony" Parisi, age 62, of Gloucester and Beverly Farms, husband of Kim Cross Parisi, gained his wings on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Lahey Burlington following a brief illness. He was surrounded by his loving wife and four children. Born to the late Mary and Thomas Parisi,

Tony attended Gloucester Public Schools and graduated from Gloucester High School in 1977. He graduated from Southern New Hampshire University earning a Bachelor degree in Criminal Justice. Tony started his career in law enforcement in 1983 as a Reserve Police Officer. He was a 34-year veteran of the Gloucester Police Department; during his early years on the force, he was the Gloucester School Resource Officer. He rose to the rank of Sergeant in 2001, before retiring in 2017. During the course of his career, he selflessly helped and impacted many lives on and off duty. Upon retirement Tony enjoyed time with his family. He worked alongside his wife at her business, Cross Towing and worked security at the Sawyer Free Library. He also enjoyed tinkering at Pearce Processing assembling Fish processing machines. He was proud of his children and their accomplishments. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, visits to West Beach, Dix Park and tow truck rides were their favorites. His true joy was spending time with daughter Jordyn at Pine Tree Equestrian Center. He loved watching her ride and compete. He always lent a helping hand to the Pine Tree families and their horses. He was always looking forward to the next road trip. Tony had many friends he met due to his interest in cars, trucks and motorcycles. He worked for many years for his good friend, Jack Bevilaqua, driving trucks locally. He met Dave Foster, John Silveira and Jim Greenwood and Kenny Ratray through the auto shop at Gloucester High School & Foster's gas station. A stint at Varian added Peter Gayton into the group. Tony, Dave and Jim had a connection through the trucking industry and at times worked together. Tony and Jim's enjoyment of motorcycles took them to the Laconia, NH motorcycle rally a few times over the years. After a few nights at Bob's Clam Shack and many road trips, both near and far, over the years, these friendships became strong and lifelong. Time and distance did not affect them.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, David Parisi and wife Shayna; daughters, Ashley Oubre and husband, Casey, Katrina O'Donnell and her husband, Brian and Jordyn Parisi. Tony is survived by grandchildren; Cailyn, Austin, Eva, Jacob, Robbie, Lucas, Derek and Grayson; brother, Frank and his wife, Annmarie; sisters, Catherine McCormick and husband, Tony, Pamela Iwanicki and husband Steve; godparents, Grace and Turk Curcuru; mother in-law, Judy Cross; brother-in-law, George Cross and his wife Donna.
