Anne L. Rousseau Obituary
Ipswich - Anne Louise (Pickul) Rousseau, 73, passed away surrounded by her children on Wednesday March 30, 2022 at Beverly Hospital.
Born on December 21, 1948 and raised in Ipswich, Anne was a lover of all things New England; the food, the beaches and especially her Boston Red Sox.
Anne was one of the seven children of the late Theodore J. and Ruth (Patience) Pickul and was a graduate of Ipswich High school, Class of 1966. She married her high school sweetheart Art Rousseau and together they had three fantastic children, Caren, Artie and Joanna.
Anne worked for most of her life at AW Chesterton in Groveland, where she had many friends on the shop floor. However, many locals might remember Anne from her days at Marty's or The Riverview.
Anne attended Sacred Heart Parish of Ipswich. She was a member of the St Lawrence Literary Society and the Kosciusko Club of Ipswich. She loved the Polish Picnic and the polkas. Anne was known to have one of the best recipes in town for golumpkis and kapusta, both handed down from her mother, Ruth, who she missed dearly every day.
Her very best buddies are of the four-legged form, Tuna and Millie. Anne loved her cats and never wanted to be far from them or them from her.
Anne is survived by her three children, Caren J. Newton and her husband, Daniel of DeRuyter, NY, Maurice Arthur Rousseau IV and his wife Terri of Hampton, NH, Joanna R. Rousseau and Arthur Gaudet of Moultonborough, NH; three brothers, Theodore Pickul and his wife Shirley of FL, Peter Pickul and his wife Carol of FL, James Pickul and his wife Susan of Danville, NH; three sisters, Katherine Richards and her husband George of FL, Janice Hayes, wife of the late Robert Hayes of W. Newbury, Renie Petrovic and her husband Marty of NY; seven grandchildren, Michael, Amber and Andrea Newton, Renee Clark, Hayley Rousseau, Samantha and Arthur James Rousseau, two great grandchildren Bentley Card, Arielle Rousseau and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends are cordially welcomed to a celebration of Anne's life which will be held Sunday, April 3 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the St. Lawrence Literary Society Hall, 14 Fairview Avenue, Ipswich.
