Beverly - Anne Dowd Murray, beloved wife of the late Edward James Murray. died peacefully at her home, on Monday, July 20, 2026. Anne was born July 12, 1926, in Rathbane, Ballina, County Mayo, Ireland, one of twelve children of Patrick and Catherine Dowd.

She enjoyed walks, baking, knitting, gardening and cherished her role as a mother and grandmother, helping and teaching them as they grew into adulthood. Truly a loving and devoted" Nana" to her ten grandchildren. Anne adored her family and treasured family times together. She was also dedicated to her Catholic faith, praying the rosary, a communicant and Eucharistic Minister at Saint Margaret of Scotland Parish in Beverly Farms.

She leaves her children, Mary of Beverly Farms; Michael and his wife Maureen and their children Catherine and Eddie of South Boston; Seán of Beverly Farms; Brian and his wife Michelle and their children Cole, Aidan and Sophia of Bolton; Margaret and her husband Timothy Martin of Plymouth and their children Ned and Andi; as well as her daughter-in-law, Kristin Murray, the wife of her late son Patrick of Marstons Mills, and their children, Séamus and his wife Cecilia; Owen and his wife Hailie; and Maggie. Also, many nieces and nephews in Massachusetts, Maine, Ireland, and England.

She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her family and those who knew her.

Anne's funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Margaret of Scotland Church, 672 Hale Street, Beverly Farms on Friday, July 31st, at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours prior to the funeral Mass at the church, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Beverly Farms Cemetery, Beverly Farms. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Anne's memory to Saint Margaret of Scotland Church, 672 Hale Street, Beverly Farms, MA 01915.
