Ann M. (McCormack) Morrell Obituary

Ann M. (McCormack) Morrell, formerly of Peabody, Salem, and Newton, passed away on June 11, 2017, surrounded by her family.

Ann lived most of her life in the Peabody and Salem area.

She retired from Salem Hospital where she worked in the x-ray department. After retirement, Ann went to work at Filene's for 10 years.

Ann was the beloved wife of the late Robert Morrell. She was the loving mother of Andrew Thain and his wife, Nikki and Theresa Swift, all of Wilmington. Ann was the devoted “Grammy” of Patrick M. Swift, his significant other, Mare, both of Salem, and “Great-Grammy” of Nash M. Swift. She was the daughter of the late Francis and Ann (Gallagher) McCormack; dear sister of Joan Jukins of Salem, Ruth Murphy of Lynnfield, and the late Jack McCormack. Her former husband, Andrew Thain predeceases Ann. Several nieces, nephews, and many friends also survive her.

Visiting hours will be held at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Route 62), Wilmington, on Saturday, June 17, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., immediately followed by a funeral service at 12 p.m. Interment to follow at the Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
