Mr. Wilfred J. Arsenault, Jr., age 79, died on Monday, July 24th at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Patricia (Collins) Arsenault.
Born in Chelsea, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Marion (Vincent) Arsenault.
Mr. Arsenault was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a Lifetime Member of VFW Post 2346 in Saugus. He had a 30-plus year career working for General Electric in Lynn.
He was deeply involved in the Salvation Army and was passionate in his resolve to help those suffering through addiction find sobriety, peace and faith in their recovery
Mr. Arsenault leaves four beloved daughters, Leneita Kennedy of New York, Nancy Fossa and her husband, Steve of Peabody, Charlene Prince and her husband Jeffrey of New Hampshire, Patricia Arsenault of Florida; 10 cherished grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; one brother, William Arsenault and his wife, Jean of Pepperell; one sister, Winifred Burke of Tewksbury; and by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., Saugus on Friday, 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral from the funeral home on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Margaret’s Church, 431 Lincoln Ave., Saugus at 10:30 a.m. Interment Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
