Virginia (Ginny) T. Bishop-Cunha, 88, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 13, 2017, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a brief illness.
Born on May 15, 1928, in Andover, Mass, she was the daughter of the late Anne Swenson and Harold Bishop.
She was a longtime resident of Oak Knoll in Middleton, where she happily spent the last 27 years of her life. As a younger woman, Virginia was employed by GE and Ametek, both from which she retired, later in life.
She loved music and dancing, was a fantastic cook, and was known throughout her family to be a master at Yahtzee. She was spunky and could liven up any situation with her quick wit and great sense of humor. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her grand-dogs, Cleo, Maggie, Ben, Trixie, Bailey, and Finn.
Virginia is survived by three daughters, Valerie Goodno of Middleton, Diana and her husband, Lewis Levine of Epping, N.H., Gay and her husband, Phillip Scroggs of Raymond, N.H.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Shelly Osgood of Danvers, Scott Osgood and his husband, George Bullock of Honolulu, Hawaii, Shawna and her husband, Michael Othot of Pelham, N.H., Megan and her husband, Jason Vaz and their daughters, Hadley and Raiyne Carlton of Ipswich; and her sister, Barbara Bishop of Middleton.
Virginia was predeceased by her beloved step-mother, Huldah Bishop.
A private memorial service will be held for family.
