Thomas R.'s Story
Mr. Thomas R. Chambers, 86, of Danvers, beloved wife of Christel (Johannsen) Chambers, died Saturday, April 29, 2017.
Born in Boston, he was the son of the late George H. and Ruth (Coombs) Chambers. He was raised and educated in Boston and Quincy and was a graduate of North Quincy High School.
Mr. Chambers was employed as a machinist with Kenny Pump in Jamaica Plain for 15 years. He was associated with Arthur D. Little in Cambridge and Helix in Waltham.
A loving husband, father and grandfather, Tom was a skilled craftsman. He was an avid wood worker and found great pleasure and pride in constructing and restoring his victorian home in Danvers. He was dedicated to his loving wife and family and will be deeply missed.
Tom is survived by his wife, Christel (Johannsen) Chambers of Danvers; his son, Thomas E. Chambers of Hanson; his daughter, Karen Jollicover and her husband, Wayne of Marshfield; his step-son, Edward Kuczynski of Danvers; many grandchildren; and his sister, Marilyn Foley of Canton.
His funeral service will be held in the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St. (Route 62), Danvers, Thursday, May 4 at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers.
