Theresa M.'s Story

Theresa M. (Countie) Rolinger, 90, beloved wife of the late Thomas L. Rolinger, died Monday, March 20, 2017 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, Mass., surrounded by her family.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (McCarthy) Countie. She was raised in Revere and received her education in the Revere school system.
A resident of Beverly since 1947, Mrs. Rolinger was a member of St. Mary Star of the Sea Church in Beverly where she sang in the choir and was a soloist at weddings and funerals for over 20 years.
Creative throughout her life, she enjoyed cooking and baking and was an avid gardener and was a member of the Beverly Artist Guild. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
Surviving her are four daughters, Mary Theresa Lloyd and her husband, Dr. Humphrey Lloyd of Houston, Texas, Sister Patricia Rolinger, SND of Ipswich, Rosemary Brown and her husband, Kerry of Beverly and Odile McCarter and her husband, John of Amesbury, two sons, Thomas L. Rolinger Jr. and his wife, Rosetta of Bossier City, Louisiana and Jerome F. Rolinger and his wife, Beth of Milton, Fla., 12 grandchildren, David, Genevieve, Vanessa, Jerome F. II, Amie, Sherri, Thomas, Andrew, Emily, Laurie, Jack and Valerie, 13 great-grandchildren, Dylan, Elliott, Everly, Jerome F. III, Michael, Selene, Oliver, Phoenix, Gianna, Jacob, Addison, Cameron and Thomas, a brother, Kevin Countie of Houston, Texas, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 253 Cabot Street, Beverly, Friday, March 24, 2017 at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Beverly. Contributions may be made in her memory to the Cuvilly Arts and Earth Center, 10 Jeffrey’s Neck Road, Ipswich, MA 01938.
