Theresa M.'s Story
Theresa M. (Rocheford) Pelland, 89, passed away at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers, on Monday, May 15, 2017 with her loving family by her side. She was affectionately known to family and her many friends, as "Big T". This nickname endeared her to people in every walk of life.
Theresa was married to Eugene JB Pelland for over 50 years. Devoted to each other in marriage, they worked very hard to build a life in their much loved town of Bellingham MA. They taught their children the value of hard work and the joy of a close family.
Theresa leaves a daughter, Helen Medler and husband Michael, sons Richard Pelland, and Gene Pelland and his wife Michelle; grandchildren, Kristen Medler, Elizabeth McDonnell, Sarah Pelland, Christina Pelland and Henry Eugene Pelland. great-grandchildren, Haley McDonnell and Alejandro Canelo.
If you truly want to honor Terry, take the time to send a note to someone who may need cheering up, take someone to lunch who may be eating alone too often, or just look someone in the eye and smile. That's what she would want you to do.
Family and friends are welcome to gather on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Cartier's Funeral Home, 151 So. Main St., (Route 126), Bellingham. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 630 Rathbun Street, Blackstone, MA. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland, R.I.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, (Care Dimensions) 78 Liberty Street, Danvers, MA 01923. She was surrounded by love here.
