Stephen J.'s Story

Text size

Stephen J. Nazzaro, 42, of Georgetown, passed away suddenly of cardiac arrest on Tuesday September 5, 2017. He leaves behind the love of his life, Jillian (D’Entremont) Nazzaro, his children, Cooper Stephen (13) and Reese Avery (11), and their dog, Penny (3) who love and miss him dearly.
Stephen was born in Melrose and raised in Revere. He is survived by his proud parents, Steven and Rita (Parsons) Nazzaro and younger brother Michael. After graduating Northeastern University with a degree in Physical Therapy, he pursued his lifelong passion as a Physical Therapist and was employed first at Lahey Clinic in Burlington and, for the last 13 years, at Partners in Rehabilitation in Georgetown.
Stephen and Jillian met in Boston 18 years ago and just celebrated 16 years of marriage in August. A devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend, he was active in the Georgetown community as a coach for his children’s soccer teams and a member of the Georgetown Soccer Board. He loved nights out with Jillian in Boston, talking sports and playing basketball with Cooper, and kicking the soccer ball around and snuggling with Reese. Stephen was a very loving husband who took joy in surprising Jillian with thoughtful gifts from the heart.
He enjoyed attending Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins, and Celtics games with his wife, children and their friends. Family was everything to Stephen. He made lasting memories with family and friends during trips to lakes in New Hampshire and Tennessee, Jamaica, Disney World, and Ogunquit, Maine. He also loved attending country music concerts with his wife and their friends. As a Christmas surprise for his children three years ago, he drove to Connecticut and hand picked their shih-poo puppy, who they named Penny, and became a loyal family companion. He loved training her, taking her for walks, and going for rides with her. She completed their family and brought joy to them every day.
Stephen’s family and friends love him dearly and feel grateful to have had the privilege of loving him.
He is also survived by his father-in-law, David D’Entremont, his mother-in-law, Jeanine (Giguere) D’Entremont, sister-in-law, Debra (D’Entremont) Contardi, brother-in-law, Brad Contardi and their children, Brandon and Isabella, his loving aunt Marilyn Parsons; his Godmother, Joan (Parsons) Falco, and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, September 10th, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Mackey Funeral Home, 128 S. Main Street, Rt. 114, Middleton. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 11, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 202 Main Street, Rowley.
