Sally Ann's Story
Sally Ann (Sullivan) Chisholm, 80, died Tuesday, at Essex Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness.
Born in Morrisville, Vermont on October 27, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Eustice F. and Ann V. (French) Sullivan. She attended high school in Switzerland and was a graduate of Dean College in Franklin, Mass. She was raised in New Jersey and resided in several countries, including Spain, Morocco, Switzerland and Trinidad, for many years before settling in Beverly 52 years ago.
Sally was employed as a tax examiner for the Internal Revenue Service in Andover for over 35 years before her retirement. She also once worked as a legal secretary in Boston for several years. Fluent in seven languages, she enjoyed writing poetry, loved music and playing her cello.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Joseph Woitkowski of Beverly and her dear friends, the Lam family of Peabody.
Her funeral service will be held privately at the convenience of the family. There are no visiting hours.
