Robert D.'s Story
Robert D. Wear, 73, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at the Beverly Hospital. Born in Charlestown, Mass., he was the son of the late Charles Wear Sr. and Alice (Murphy) Wear.
Robert was a graduate of Beverly High School. He worked as a machinist and was very proud of his work as a mason. He was a good-natured, selfless man who did anything he could for others. He enjoyed going on walks and living a simple life. Robert loved animals, especially his beloved dog, Bella, and cat, Curly.
Robert is survived by his two sons, Peter Wear of Peabody and Robert Wear of Beverly; longtime fiancé, Joy Tankard of Beverly; brother, Charles Wear and his wife, Caroline of Ipswich; sister, Linda Davis and her husband, Richard of Beverly; granddaughter, Kiaralys Wear; and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Saturday at 12 noon. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A visiting hour will be held prior to the service on Saturday from 11 to 12 noon. Burial in North Beverly Cemetery after the noon service.
