Peter J.'s Story
Peter J. Scialdone, 59, of Beverly, passed away at the Kaplan Hospice House in Danvers on September 3, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Pasquale (Pat) Scialdone and Lena (D’Amato) Scialdone.
Peter was born and raised with his six siblings in Beverly. He graduated with the class of 1976 from Beverly High School. After high school, Peter enlisted in the Air Force with his twin brother, Paul. After the Air Force, he worked as a painter with his brothers for many years. He was an avid Boston sports fan and especially loved the Boston Red Sox. He was also very passionate about cooking and fishing. Above all things, family was Peter’s greatest love and he cherished the time he got to spend with them all. Although Peter was not blessed with his own children, he was the favorite uncle among his nieces and nephews.
Surviving him are his wife, Renee Bennett Scialdone; one sister, Trisha A. Scialdone of Beverly; four brothers, David P. Scialdone and his wife, Susan of Beverly, Richard J. Scialdone and his wife, Deborah of Beverly, Paul J. Scialdone of Beverly, and Steven M. Scialdone and his wife, Nancy of Beverly; a sister-in-law, Janet Scialdone. He was predeceased by his brother, Michael Scialdone and sister-in-law, Rhonda (Rentschler) Scialdone. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Herman A. Spear Post 331 American Legion located at 3 Judson Street, Beverly, MA, on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, from 4 to 8 p.m. with a funeral service at 6 p.m. Arrangements by the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot St., Beverly, MA 01915.
