Paul C.'s Story
Paul C. Toroyan, 61, died early Thursday morning at his sister Anne’s house following a courageous battle with esophageal cancer. Born in Lynn, beloved son of the late Pierre and Janice (Dore) Toroyan, he lived in Beverly all of his life. Paul was a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Massachusetts in Lowell, where he received his degree in Chemical Engineering. He was formerly employed at the Department of Energy and at Exxon in Texas for several years. Paul most recently worked for Patriot Fence Crafters until his illness.
Paul touched many lives with his loving care and sincerity. He was a devoted care giver to his late parents and family members. He was an avid sports enthusiast, and he never missed any of his two nephews sporting events. He loved gardening and was an expert cook of Armenian food. The most important joy in his life was to share time and relax with his family at Newfound Lake in Bristol, N.H.
Surviving him are his loving sisters, Anne M. Toroyan-Oakley and her husband, R. Keith Oakley of Beverly, and Margaret K. Blundo and her husband, Nicholas K. Blundo of Marlboro; his two beloved nephews, Drew Pierre Toroyan Oakley and Ryan Connor Oakley, both of Beverly. Paul is also survived by his dog and faithful companion, Sonja.
Funeral services will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly on Monday, January 23, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the funeral home are Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Beverly.
