Patricia M.'s Story
Patricia M. (Connolly) Moylan, 84, formerly of Wenham, beloved wife of Laurence P. Moylan, died Monday, June 5, 2017, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
Born and raised in Watertown, she was the daughter of the late Patrick Connolly and the late Nora Greelish from Dundalk, Ireland.
She received her education in the Matignon High School in Cambridge and graduated from Fay School in Boston where she earned her associate degree.
A resident of Danvers for the past 12 years and prior to that in Wenham for 33 years, Mrs. Moylan was an avid reader and was a member of the book club at the Ferncroft in Danvers.
Some of her fondest memories in life were her years living at 4 Morgan St. in Wenham. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, who will be missed by all who knew her and remember her for her beauty, wit, grace and constant concern for others.
In addition to her husband, with whom she shared 61 years of loving and loyal marriage, she is survived by four sons, Christopher P. Moylan of Danvers, Kevin Charles Moylan of Scottsdale, Ariz., Stephen D. Moylan and his wife, Dr. Anne Moylan of Ipswich, and Mark L. Moylan and his wife, Dorice of Fenton, Mich.; three grandchildren, Kiera Moylan, Lia Moylan, and Chase Connolly Moylan; a niece, Patti Stevens; and two nephews, Jimmy Stevens and Brian Stevens. She was also the sister of the late Bernard McGinley, Margaret Gavin and Mary Stevens.
She provided a wonderful childhood to her children and spent many summers with her children and grandchildren on the beaches in Marblehead and Ipswich and many winters with her children in the Green Mountains of Vermont. She was an avid skier, gardener and beach goer. She provided endless “friendship, love and loyalty” to her family. She loved the outdoors and spending time with family on the north shore and in Ireland.
Her memorial service will be held at the Ascension Memorial Church, 31 County St., Ipswich, Friday, June 9, 2017, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Arrangements made by the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot St., Beverly. Contributions may be made in her memory to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923. You may send online condolences at www.campbellfuneral.com.
