Nancy A.'s Story
Nancy A. (Devanna) Adams, 77, of Beverly, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 8, 2017 at Kaplan Hospice House, Danvers.
Born in Malden, Nancy was the daughter of the late Edward Devanna and Emily Jensen. Nancy was a much loved Wife, Mother, Nana, Sister and Aunt. She loved yard sales, bingo, scratch tickets, and teaching her grandkids how to play poker! She enjoyed spending time with her family, and was forever wiping sticky hands and faces. She was known for always having a jar full of cookies, a freezer full of pops, and the very best toys! Her apple pie, apple cake, and oatmeal cookies could not be beat! She will be greatly missed, but always in our hearts.
Nancy is survived by her daughters, Catherine Bergeron of Calif., Cherie Gouthro of Beverly, Janine Largent and her husband, Dale Hadley of North Reading, Mass., Nancy Lipinski of Salem, Mass., and Bobbi Colburn and her husband, Peter of Beverly; her grandchildren, Jenna Johnson, Corey Rouff, James and Meagan Greenan, Adam and Zahrra Jordan, Tammy Largent, Zachary Cooper, Abigail and Grace Hadley, Emma Lipinski, Pat, Tom, Chris, Tessa, Joshua, Joe, Kaitlyn and Sarah Colburn; her brothers, Richard Devanna of Lowell, and Barry Devanna of Derry, NH; a sister, Sandra Hoyle and her husband, Richard of Florida; 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Nancy is predeceased by her husbands, Robert Gouthro and Donald Adams, her sister, Ellenmay Butler and her brothers, Edward and Robert Devanna.
Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service in the Tabernacle Congregational Church, 50 Washington St. Salem, Tuesday, May 16th at 6:30 pm. to be followed by a light supper in the Bigelow Room.
