Mildred Putur, 93, wife of the late Stephen S. Putur, passed away peacefully at Beverly Hospital on Tuesday, January 17, 2017.
Born in Ipswich on March 17, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Blanche Michon.
Mrs. Putur was a life long resident of Ipswich. She was a communicant of the former Sacred Heart Polish Catholic Church in Ipswich for many years. At present she was a communicant of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, also of Ipswich. Mrs. Putur was formerly employed at Sylvania in Ipswich for 28 years. She loved to cook, go to the beach and she especially loved her granddaughters. She was predeceased by her husband Stephen in 1988.
Mrs. Putur is survived by her three children, Stephen Putur and his wife Chris of Hollis, N.H., Richard Putur of Ipswich and Anne Putur also of Ipswich. She is also survived by her three granddaughters, Missy, Dannie and Nellie, her brother Wilbur Michon of Glouceter and by several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Putur was also predeceased by her six siblings, John, Margaret, Gussie, Mary, Avid and Stanley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, January 20, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church 54 Linebrook Road, Ipswich. Burial will follow in the Cowles Memorial Cemetery, 29 Town Farm Road, Ipswich. An hour of visitation will be held at the Morris Funeral Home, 45 North Main Street, Ipswich on Friday the 20th, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
