Mildred A.'s Story
Ms. Mildred A. Rogers, 70, of Everett, died unexpectedly, July 21, 2017 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following a brief illness.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Pearl F. (Scott) Rogers. She was raised and educated in Salem and attended the former Phillips School.
Mildred was devoted to her children and focused all her attention to providing a lovely home and life for them. When they were grown she entered the workforce and most recently had been employed at Bruegger’s Bagels in Boston.
A longtime resident of the City of Salem, Malden and Everett, Mildred enjoyed spending her time crocheting. A card shark, Mildred was a skilled card player and was a longtime friend of Bill W. She enjoyed spending a summers day at the Salem Willows, drinking old fashion Moxie. She loved her family and will be deeply missed.
She was the companion of the late Richard Wolcott.
Mildred is survived by her daughter, Penny Wolcott of Everett, her son, Warren Wolcott of Connecticut; her grandchildren, Shakeyl, Jah-Zel and Dharez Wolcott and Zariah Wolcott-Benton; her siblings, George Rogers, Judy Jackson, Francis Mowbray, Debra LeBlanc, Gwen Ramos and Gloria Broome and hundreds of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Lenny, Steward, and Ronald Rogers and Bettyann Saunders and Joann Williams.
