Lindsay Anne's Story

Text size

Lindsay Anne Moore, 27, passed away at the Kaplan Family Hospice House on January 12, 2017, after a courageous battle with melanoma.
She was born in Methuen and grew up in Bangor, Maine, with much time also spent at her father’s home in Massachusetts. She was a 2007 graduate of Bangor High School.
Lindsay was adventuresome, funny and deeply loved by her family and friends, many of whom traveled long distances to visit her in the last few weeks. She especially loved live music and attended dozens of concerts and music festivals, often traveling several hours to see a show. A lifelong Beatles fan, Lindsay saw both Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr in concert in 2016, a highlight of her life.
Lindsay is survived by her mother, Maureen (Gregory) Moore of Bangor, Maine; her father and stepmother, Dennis and Barbara Moore of Danvers; her sister and closest friend, Sarah Moore of Bangor, Maine; her brother, Sean Moore of Danvers; her grandmother, Jackie Moore of Milford, N.H.; her pets, Calvin and Hobbes of Bangor, Maine and Tillman of Danvers; many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her dearly; and her many friends.
Lindsay showed incredible strength and courage throughout her illness. Her family is extremely grateful to the Kaplan Family Hospice House and its staff, who took such wonderful care of her.
A celebration of Lindsay’s life will be held in Maine in the spring. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St. (Route 62), Danvers. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lindsay’s memory can be made to Kaplan Family Hospice House/Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Ste. B-102, Danvers, MA 01923 or to Dr. Patrick Ott’s Melanoma Research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place, Brookline, MA 02445.
