Linda M. (Raffa)'s Story
Linda M. (Raffa) Randazza of Beverly, Mass., passed away at Kaplan House in Danvers on January 19, 2017, at the age of 54, surrounded by her loving family and her caring hospice nurses. Linda was born in Somerville, Mass., on March 29, 1962, to John and (the late) Margaret (Blauvelt) Raffa. She grew up in Billerica, and graduated from Shawsheen Regional Technical High School in Billerica.
Linda worked as an Activities Director at the Rosewood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Peabody, Mass., followed by her role as Activities Director at the Devereux House Nursing & Rehabilitation in Marblehead, Mass.
Linda was very passionate about her family and was a devoted mother to her two beloved sons, Carter and Nathan Randazza and was the loving wife of her beloved husband, Thomas Randazza of Beverly, to whom she was married for 23 years. Linda was active in the school community of St. John the Evangelist School in Beverly, where her two sons attended. She was a dedicated fan of the baseball and basketball teams on which Carter and Nathan played.
Linda enjoyed time with her close friends, who will miss her dearly. Together, they enjoyed the beach and creating a variety of different hand crafts. Linda also enjoyed weekend getaways with her friends.
In addition to her husband, Thomas Randazza and their two sons, Carter and Nathan of Beverly, Linda is survived by her father, John Raffa of Gloucester; loving sister-in-law, Karen Raffa of Londonderry, N.H.; devoted brother, David Raffa of Templeton, Mass.; loving nieces, Katie Raffa of Everett, Mass., Jillian Raffa of Derry, N.H.; and nephew, Joseph Raffa of Londonderry, N.H.; as well as six great-nieces and nephews. Linda was predeceased by her beloved mother, Margaret Raffa and brother, John Raffa.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 28, 2017, at 1:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 221 Cabot St., Beverly, MA. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established to assist with the care and education of Linda’s two sons.
