Liette M. (Bosse)'s Story
Liette M. (Bosse) Murtaugh, 81, of Beverly and a former resident of Salem, passed away unexpectedly at the Beverly Hospital, Tuesday, February 7, 2017 following a brief illness.
Born in Montreal, Canada and raised in Salem, She was the daughter of the late Joseph V. and Eugenie M. (Dube) Bosse. Liette was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy and first worked for GTE Sylvania at the Boston Street location. Following her marriage she devoted her time to raising her family. She later worked for the Marshall’s chain as a stock and inventory tagger first at the Beverly warehouse and later in Woburn. Liette was a member of the Herman A. Spear Post in Beverly.
She is survived by her two daughters, Brenda Lee Murtugh of Salem, Kathleen Liette Murtaugh of Aurora, Colo.; her son, Patrick D. Murtaugh of Salem, three grandchildren, David Dunyan, Kellianne Peterson and Levi Murtaugh; a sister, Noella Austen of Ontario, as well as several nieces, nephews and her devoted friend, Cookie Scott. She was predeceased by her sister and brother, Jacqueline Kotosky and Lawrence Bosse and her former husband, David A. Murtaugh.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Monday, February 13, 2017, at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114/1 – A] Salem, from 4 to 7 p.m. with her funeral service in the funeral home at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be private.
