Leo J.'s Story
Mr. Leo Joseph Lemieux, 75, passed away peacefully on February 19th, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
Born in New York, New York, he was the son of Leo Lemieux and Sadie Freitas. Leo grew up in Middleton and was a graduate of Masconomet Regional High School.
After four years with the United States Coast Guard, Leo worked for the Boston Naval Shipyard and later transferred to the National Park Service, where he retired from after 43 years of service. Later, he enjoyed farming and working with heavy equipment on his Vermont farm.
Leo had a kind heart and appreciated spending quality time with family and friends.
He is survived by his sister, Yvonne McAuley and her husband John, of Middleton. He is also survived by his two brothers; David Lemieux of Beverly, and Roland Lemieux of Middleton. Leo will also be deeply missed by his nieces and nephews.
A wake will be held on Thursday, February 23rd, 2017 at the Mackey Funeral Home at 10 a.m., located at 128 South Main Street, Middleton. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Burial in Oakdale Cemetery. Visit www.mackeyfuneralhome.com to leave a condolence.
