Jacqueline (Vallee)'s Story
Mrs. Jacqueline (Vallee) Sobocinski, 90, of Danvers, died peacefully Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at Essex Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Beverly.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Clara (Gagnon) Vallee. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School.
Mrs. Sobocinski began her professional career with CBS Hytron in Danvers. For many years, Jacqueline was also employed in retail sales at Filene's Department Store in the Burlington Mall, until the time of her retirement.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Jacqueline had a unique way of making everyone feel special. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and was devoted to her faith. Her gentle nature and caring heart will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Jacqueline is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Albert Sobocinski of Danvers; her son, Kenneth A. Sobocinski and his wife, Lydia of Windham, N.H.; her daughters, Linda Korumpus and her husband, Dennis of Salem and Susan Taylor of Rock Hill, S.C.; her three grandchildren, Emma, Jack and Christopher; and many nieces and nephews, including her dear nieces, Jean Weaver and Diane Cashman. She was the sister of the late Robert, Raymond, Jean Charles, Luciette, Rita, Marcel, Claire, “Bert.”
Her funeral will be held from the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St. (Route 62), Danvers, Friday, March 10, at 10:30 a.m., followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, Conant St., Danvers at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends invited.
