Jacob "Jack"'s Story
Jacob "Jack" Savy of Peabody died Tuesday, March 7, after a lengthy illness.
Born in 1931, he was the son of Joseph and Sara Savy. Jack was the much beloved husband of Ruth M. (Healey) Savy, who he was married to for over 50 years until her death in 2007. Jack served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He went on to run his own electrical business then taught at Peabody Vocational. Jack was wire inspector for the city of Peabody and the town of Georgetown, Mass. He enjoyed his family, travel, golf and gambling. Playing cards at the VFW was a favorite. Jack leaves his daughters, Patti Chausse and Laurie Riccardi of Peabody; his son, Bob Savy of Lynn; granddaughter, Jaclynn Savy of Dover, N.H.; grandsons, Daniel Riccardi, Thomas G. Chausse, and Jake Savy of Peabody; great-grandchildren, Dylan Seaver of Peabody, Isabella Giordani of Dover, N.H., and Aiden Riccardi of Peabody.
The family will receive family and friends Monday, March 13, 2017, at the Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington St., Lynn, MA, from 6 to 8 p.m.
