Ida F. (Noble)'s Story
Ida Fran O'Connell, 80, of Beverly, passed away peacefully at home on June 12th, 2017, surrounded by her family. She was wife of the late John T. O'Connell with whom she shared 50 years of marriage. She was the daughter of the late Rocci and Lydia Noble.
She was born and raised in Salem, Mass. and attended the Salem public school system.
Ida loved gardening, crafting and doing puzzles. She was known for her Nana slippers that she would knit and had a love for all types of music. She worked in the food service industry at Sylvania in Danvers and Henry's Market of Beverly. She was a member of the Salem chapter of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by a daughter, Diana and her husband Kevin Murray of Beverly; two sons, Daniel and his wife, Julie of Hampstead, N.H. and David and his wife, Lynnette of Beverly, Mass. Also survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, Jessica Murray and her two sons, Colin and Owen Desmond of Danvers, Patrick Murray and his son Joseph of Grand Prarie, Texas, Nolan O'Connell and his wife Jessica of Providence, R.I. and James, John and Colleen O'Connell of Beverly, and a sister, Judy Tucker of Salem, Mass. Known fondly as "Snootch" by her close cousins Barbara Jackson and Nancy DeAlmeida. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was predeceased by a son, Timothy O’Connell and two brothers, Ralph and James Noble. Special thanks to the VNA Hospice of Woburn.
Her funeral service will be in the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, on June 24, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery.
