Helen T.'s Story
Helen T. (Larimore) Dowling, 91, beloved wife of the late John T. Dowling, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 17, at Masconomet Health Care Center with her family at her side.
Daughter of the late Grace Boydston, she was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She is survived by daughters, Jacquelyn Armitage (Diane Bergeron) and Elizabeth Buckley; grandsons, Matthew Armitage (Sherri Harris), James Armitage (Tonya Brown Armitage); great-grandchildren, Anthony John (AJ) Armitage, Erin Armitage, and Jackson Armitage; and by her sister, JoAnne Kinsey and sister-in-law, Margaret Driscoll. She also is survived by Erik Harris and Allison Harris. She was predeceased by her son, James J. Dowling and her son-in-law, Edward M. Buckley.
A longtime resident of Middleton, she was active for many years as a volunteer at the Flint Library and was retired from the former Craft Shop located in Middleton. She also was a military wife of 23 years and homemaker who managed the many family moves as her husband was posted at naval bases throughout the United States. She was totally committed to her family, taking great pride in their lives and accomplishments.
