Helen M. (Capobianco)'s Story
Helen M. (Capobianco) Cucchiaro, age 92, died peacefully on April 22, 2017 at Beverly Hospital. She was the wife of Joseph J. Cucchiaro.
She was born in Boston on April 13, 1925 to the late Anthony and Susan (Detalia) Capobianco.
Mrs. Cucchiaro was raised in Boston’s North End and was a graduate of English High School and attended Emerson College. On August 13, 1948, she married her husband Joseph in St. Leonard’s Church in Boston, and they enjoyed over 68 years of marriage together.
After raising her two sons, Helen became a cosmetics / make-up artist for Estee Lauer at Jordan Marsh, then Macy’s for over 20 years and retained a very loyal client following throughout her career. She was also an avid artist and painter. She truly enjoyed traveling with her husband, including years of sailing and going on cruises together. She will be remembered for her extraordinary unselfish love and dedication to her family as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Stephen Cucchiaro of Boston and Paul Cucchiaro of Rockport, and five grandchildren, Charlotte Ames of New York City, Connor Bair-Cucchiaro of Boston, and Sophia, Matthew and Christopher Cucchiaro of Rockport.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Margaret’s Church, Hale Street, Beverly on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly.
