George Earl's Story
George E. Saxton, age 81, of Peabody, passed away peacefully at Care One in Peabody, on his birthday May 29, 2017. He was the husband of the late Natalie M. (Cullen) Saxton, who passed away 12 hours earlier.
Born in Boston, he was the son of the late George E. and Matilda (Arseneaux) Saxton. He had lived in Cambridge and Somerville for the majority of his life and in Lynn and Peabody for the past 10 years.
He had worked as a truck driver. He was an avid reader and a collector of wooden and collectible trucks.
He is survived by three daughters, Kathleen A. Trask and her husband Charles, of Peabody, Theresa J. Fallon and her late husband Thomas, of Somerville, and Elizabeth S. Smith and her husband Matthew, of Florida; a sister, Eileen Davie, of Arlington and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Marie M. Starbile, Jeannette M. Saxton, and Shirley A. Saxton and the brother of the late Charlie, David, Michael, Alice, and Gertrude.
A memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Solimine Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Route 129), Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visitation prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Directions and guestbook at www.solimine.com.
