Gayle (Ingraham)'s Story
Detective Sergeant Gayle Haley, 60, Retired of the Middleton Police Department, of Middleton, beloved wife of Barry Haley, passed away at home on March 4, 2017, after a long and courageous battle with Kidney Cancer.
Gayle was born and raised in Danvers, the third of six children of Barbara (McDonald) Ingraham of Danvers and the late Frederick Ingraham. Gayle was a Danvers High School graduate and 1978 graduate of Boston State College.
Sergeant Haley served on the Middleton Police Force for 26 years, retiring as Detective Sergeant.
She loved playing golf with her husband and friends and was a member of the Thompson Country Club in North Reading.
Gayle is survived by her beloved husband of 37 years, Barry Haley of Middleton; her two children, Matt Haley and his wife, Amanda of Buford, Georgia and Dann Haley of Middleton; her mother, Barbara Ingraham of Danvers; her sister, Sharon; her four brothers, Fredrick, Tom, Tim, and Dennis; as well as many nieces, nephews and her dear friend, Ann Couture.
The family is grateful for the tremendous care provided to Gayle by Care Dimensions, Erin Barker and all the hospice staff.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours which will be held in the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (Route 62), Danvers, Wednesday, March 8, from 3 to 8 p.m. All other services will be private.
