Elizabeth (Betsy) Adams Walsh, 44, of Salem, Mass., passed away at Kaplan House in Danvers on March 19, 2017 following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on July 30, 1972, she was the daughter of Chuck and Sally (Burns) Adams.
She is survived by her husband, James Walsh; brother, Tyler Adams and his wife, Sharon of East Falmouth, aunts and uncles Bonnie and Michael Sherman of Marblehead, Betsy and Paul Eschholz of Naples, Fla., and Debby and Keith Keogh of Wayland. She is also survived by cousins Carrie Egan of San Francisco, Jonathan Sherman of Marblehead, Sarah Federman of Arlington, Va., Brian Keogh of Holden, Amy White of Fairfield, Conn., and Stuart Keogh of Bolton, MA, and step-children Michelle Creasi and her husband, Ryan of Middleton, Jason Walsh of Salem, and mother-in-law, Syna Walsh.
Betsy was raised in Marblehead and her greatest passion was animals. She spent hours caring for her pets. She had been known to feed and shelter any feathered or four legged creature in need. She brought home countless numbers of injured animals and nursed them back to health. Betsy graduated from Proctor Academy in Andover, New Hampshire, where she was able to exercise her love of horseback riding, both recreationally and competitively. She was also an avid reader and music lover with a beautiful voice.
memorial service will be held in her honor at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 1st, at First Church in Salem, 316 Essex Street.
