Edward A. Kushmerek, 91, of Concord, N.H., died on March 22, 2017, at Presidential Oaks surrounded by his loved ones.
Edward was born in Chelsea, Mass., to Adam and Martha (LeWandowska) Kushmerek on October 17, 1925.
He graduated from Malden High School, Malden, MA. Edward retired from Sylvania of Salem, Mass., as a Master Electrician.
Edward was predeceased by his brothers, Walter and Leo Kushmerek and sisters, Valentine Kushmerek, Arlene (Kushmerek) McCarriston and Lucy (Kushmerek) Rice. He is survived by his sister, Helen E. Kushmerek of Malden, Mass.
Members of his family include his wife of 65 years, Eileen (Call) Kushmerek of Concord; his two sons, Stephen and Katherine (Wright) Kushmerek of Bow, N.H., and Edward and Denise (Hawe) Kushmerek of New Milford, Conn.; two granddaughters, Kara (Kushmerek) Loth and Kristina (Kushmerek) Johnson; grandson, Adam Kushmerek; two great-grandsons, Owen and Oliver Loth; and many nieces and nephews.
A calling hour will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017, from 12 to 1 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., Concord, followed by a memorial service at the funeral home at 1 p.m. A committal service will take place at the NH State Veterans Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. on March 30, 2017.
Memorial donations may be made in his name to Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association Hospice Program, 30 Pillsbury St., Concord, NH 03301.
